A while back, I guess around Halloween, I got a Fun Size Snickers bar. On the back it had the following message:

Antaux iom da tempo, mi supozas ke okazis cxirkaux Halovino, mi akiris malgrandan cxokoladan briketon nomitan Snickers kun "Amuza Grandeco". Sur la dorso de la kovrilo estis skribita la jena mesagxo:

It is anatomically impossible for humans to lick their own elbow.

Of course, everyone there tried it themselves. Most failed as miserably as if they were trying to bite their own ear. Everyone laughed out loud.

I decided to read up on the subject. Apparently there's some folklore related to my ability. Supposedly, anyone who ever succeeds at kissing or licking their own elbow is supposed to turn into the opposite sex.

Since then, I've met at least five other people in the state who can lick their elbow. So it would appear that it is not quite so impossible afterall.

A word of advice for the gentlemen out there who discover they, too, have this ability: Don't introduce yourself by saying, "They say I'm an anatomical impossibility. Guess what I can lick." It does not work on the ladies.
